Q: If you have limited means and could help somebody... how would you help them?
A: I am of very limited means. Here's what we do I volunteer as director of this ministry http://www.caringhandsministries.com Most of our volunteers have very limited means too. Here are some of the things they do. When they buy something that is buy 1 get 1 free they donate some of the free items to help others. They call elderly neighbors to be sure they are OK and see what they may need. sometimes they shop for as neighbor or take a neighbor to the store with them so they can shop, Some decode to drink water on breaks and donate what they would have spent on cokes of coffee to help someone else, Some help set up food donation sites at grocery stores,churches etc. Some care for a neighbors children so they can work or go to a doctor, Some take supper to shut-ins, some help with fundraising projects so there can be money to help people with rent and light bills, some donate nice hand me downs so people who need them can come find what they need, some give away things they don't use through Freecyle (see Yahoo groups), some volunteer as teacher's aids, pet sit for people who are in the hospital. Look around and see the needs in your immediate area,
