Is it rude when someone answers your question with a link for people to answer theirs?

Q: Or starts chattin to others in your question Not that I would dream of chattin

A: In regards to a person who does not attempt to answer the question, but instead who posts in a link for THEIR own question, with no other text, then yes, I would consider that rude (or spamming). However, if that person has made an attempt to answer the question in the best way they could, and as long as they specify that they need help with their question, it's not too bad. A circumstance could be for example if their question could fall into several categories e.g. "government cracking down on internet crime". This question could fall in - Computers and internet Politics and government and Business and finance to a certain extent. Chatting, yes. Flirting, maybe a bit of fun, however, if the person who has posted the question does not like it, then they can edit their question and say that they are not playing any games of flirting. The issue of chatting is laid out in the community guidelines. People should look at them every now and then, so as to avoid being sent a violation notice. There is a messenger service that can be used for chat. As what I've stated, it does not seem so bad provided that person has attempted to answer the question, and needs help with theirs. After all, we are all on here to help each other out in the best way possible, aren't we?
